This article focuses on two Platonic concepts, δύναμις and χώρα, and Heidegger’s interpretation of them in his lecture courses on Greek philosophy. I try to demonstrate that these two concepts offer us insights into the dynamic movement of Being between self-showing and withdrawal. The aim of the article is to show that Being, as one of the greatest kinds in the Sophist , and the elusive χώρα in the Timaeus can open up new perspectives on the Heideggerian question of Being.
